It is coming into autumn here in Australia, while half the world prepares for spring. Rain and wind lash the house, with the occasional hot day so we don’t become accustomed to anything. Leaves on the maples and plums turn red and brown, while my first bulbs sprout because their triggers are still set to England (day length, temperature, rain). The summer, so oppressive at the time, seems to have disappeared without a whisper.
I hope this year will be a big one for me, so I’m startled it’s already a quarter over with only a few ‘big things’ completed.
